DGTelemed Regional Associations

Organization


The German Society for Telemedicine (DGTelemed) is represented by regional associations in the other Federal States of Germany acc. to the §2 of the by-low. The regional associations are independent organizational affiliates of the DGTelemed, which can be established, modified and dissolved with a resolution from the management board of DGTelemed. The executive board members have a right for nomination.

A regional association is a contact person for the federal government and other institutions and it offers a large competence of DGTelemed in telemedicine for decision-maker from politics, science and industry. The members for the regional association are recruited from the member staff of DGTelemed in the respective federal states.

Dialog and contacts

The regional associations of DGTelemed are platforms for exchange of experience between experts and instrument for organization of this exchange. They operate for the purpose to transfer the innovative and cost effective telemedicine projects into the standard health care. Furthermore, they stand for the standardization of the archived quality gathered in telemedicine projects.

Pool of experts

The German Society for Telemedicine is an expert organization for telemedicine, which arranges and brings together different experts from the field of telemedicine. It provides expert assessments by request of the respective members, which depend on their expertise to plan and realize telemedicine projects.

Know-how transfer

DGTelemed provide their own members with the recent national and international information from politics, science, industry and health care. DGTelemed contributes via transfer of skills and accumulated experience to the better and quicker orientation and positioning of their members in the health care sector. All members of the society receive an annual subscription to the E-HEALTH-COM magazine. The price is included in the membership fees.

Public relation

DGTelemed provides information about the central themes of the national and international development trends in telemedicine and it organizes meetings on the subject. Furthermore the DGTelemed commits for sustainable use of telemedicine solutions in health care.
